Spring Planting

Live near our garden or want to help? Get involved today.

You can be a part of this exciting and worthy mission! We invite you to give back to your community and help feed those in need by volunteering at The Garden. Here are some of the the activities you could participate in doing:

  • planting

  • harvesting

  • packaging food for food banks

  • delivering food to participating food banks

  • weeding

  • Garden planned projects

Churches, scouting groups and other charitable organizations are encouraged to help, in a number of different ways, by serving in the garden weekly, biweekly, monthly or bimonthly.

Local and big businesses are encouraged to get involved by donating resources, paid employee volunteer days out to the garden, or by becoming yearly contributors.

You can also show your support by purchasing Garden of Giving t-shirts for $14 each!

Girl Scouts came for spring planting!

This was the first of three scouting days to be sponsored in 2019 by the Nelson Family Foundation. All educational material and badge rosters were provided by this funding. Volunteering is an excellent way for the scouts to learn about the importance of fresh food, help neighbors in their community, and enjoy a day outside all at the same time!

Camp Orchard Hill came to visit! What great workers they are!

Campers from churches in Hershey, Allentown and Plainfield, NJ.  volunteered at the Garden in July of 2018. The staff of Camp Orchard Hill searched out volunteer opportunities for their campers, and they chose us. We are so grateful that they did!
